An Iraqi soldier was killed and three were critically wounded Tuesday (January 29th) when an improvised explosive device (IED) blew up east of Fallujah, Iraqi police said.

"An IED targeted a military personnel carrier carrying four Iraqi soldiers in al-Mazraa area in eastern Fallujah," Fallujah police spokesman Maj. Hameed al-Jumaily told Al-Shorfa.

A police patrol on a routine mission spotted two gunmen carrying a remote detonator and arrested them shortly after the blast, he said.

God is our supporter and best helper regarding the killing of the brave soldier whose only concern was to get rid of terrorism and terrorists, and who wished all his life to fight against terrorism in order to take revenge for those who had died and sacrificed their lives. This sacrifice is costly to all our hearts; it is the sacrifice of the soldiers for the people! I hope that God counts him among the martyrs!
