An Iraqi army officer and four soldiers died Friday (December 28th) in a blast near Abu Ghraib, officials said.

"An improvised explosive device (IED) targeted a military vehicle in al-Hamdaniya village Friday morning, killing five military personnel -- one lieutenant and four soldiers," Abu Ghraib police chief Col. Sabah al-Falahi told Al-Shorfa.

Iraqi forces "raided al-Qaeda sites in the area following the attack, arrested four gunmen and found an IED, different weapons and a remote control detonator in their possession", he added.

The bombings are orchestrated, systematic and well-planned. The recent booby-trapped car blast proved that. The incident claimed the lives of those Iraqis recruits. May Allah rest their souls in peace! The presence of a truck loaded with fuel confirms the ability of the terrorists to plan an attack so that it claims the greatest possible number of victims. The terrorist organizations are driven by an evil ideology. They target the civilians and the military officials alike. The presence of the terrorists made life in Iraq really unbearable. Only Allah could help Iraq. We are the creatures of God and to Him we shall return.

May god grant mercy to the martyrs and speedy recover to the injured ones. I would like to tell those who committed this crime that they won't succeed in undermining Iraq's unity.
