The Iraqi police on Tuesday (December 11th) arrested four suspected al-Qaeda members in a security operation carried out in Fallujah, Anbar province, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said.
Security forces also found many weapons and explosives during the operation, the ministry said.
"The police raided a residential building in central Fallujah where they found a weapons cache containing about 54 sticky bombs, 20 improvised explosive devices [IEDs], seven barrels of TNT […] and about 90 kilogrammes of C-4, " ministry spokesperson Col. Hikmat Mahmoud al-Masari told Al-Shorfa.
Security forces later found that the four gunmen were wanted by the Iraqi judiciary in connection with "more than one terrorist charge", he added.
