The Anbar criminal court on Tuesday (December 11th) sentenced seven al-Qaeda members to death.
The convicts confessed to several crimes, Anbar police chief Maj. Gen. Hadi Erzaij told Al-Shorfa, including stopping a passenger bus on its way to Syria in September 2011 and killing 22 of its male passengers in front of women and children.
Three of the convicts are prominent al-Qaeda leaders, he added.
