The Iraqi police announced Thursday (November 15th) they arrested three suspected al-Qaeda gunmen in a raid on a house in Taji district, north of Baghdad.
"The gunmen threw three bombs at the police force when it tried to enter the building where [the gunmen] were fortified with different weapons and ammunition," Col. Majeed Nasser al-Zaidi of the Taji police told Al-Shorfa.
"The police responded to the attack, killing three al-Qaeda elements and seizing weapons, ammunition, four improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and al-Qaeda pamphlets," al-Zaidi said.
