Suspected al-Qaeda gunmen on Saturday (September 22nd) killed three policemen and wounded two others in an attack on a police checkpoint west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar province, Iraqi police said.

"Gunmen believed to be from al-Qaeda attacked a police checkpoint with hand grenades and machine guns at 9 am today, killing three policemen and wounding two others," Anbar police spokesperson Col. Rahim Zaban told Al-Shorfa.
