Yemeni army targets al-Qaeda leaders in Abyan

The Yemeni army on Thursday (September 20th) kicked off a military campaign using aerial raids to hunt down the remnants of al-Qaeda leaders in Mahfad, Abyan province, Saudi Arabia's Al-Riyadh reported.

Several army brigades are searching for fugitive al-Qaeda leaders, including Jalal Beleidi, the Abyan commander of al-Qaeda-affiliated Ansar al-Sharia, the newspaper said.
