"Al-Nusrah World Organisation" strongly criticised Saturday (September 15th) those in Muslim countries involved in attacks on Western embassies for breaching the rules and morals of Islam, noting that traders and tourists and others who enter Muslim countries shouldn't be harmed in any way.

In a statement signed by a large number of clerics in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Qatar, including the organisation's President, Sheikh Youssef al-Qaradawi and Saudi Fatwa Commission member Salman al-Awda, the organisation said that "the Prophet prohibited the killing of ambassadors and parties to covenants with Muslims".

The organisation called for responding to insults against Islam by holding dialogues with thinkers and academics in countries where insults were made, disseminating films and booklets shedding light on the Prophet of Islam and his civilised message and holding or taking part in exhibitions.

The Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice with tolerance and wisdom is among the most important principles of the Islamic religion. In fact, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was known for these principles in addition to his great ethics. That’s why he was selected by God Almighty in order to spread the Islamic religion and to apply its laws. Islam is the closest religion to God Almighty and Muhammad is the closest person to God. That’s why God orders people to pray to the prophet, saying: “God and His angels send blessings to the Prophet so, you should also send your blessings to him, and salute him”. This confirms the greatness of Muhammad’s status. Thus, convenience and tolerance are among the greatest features. In fact, we have seen convenience through the clothes and the worship of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Besides, we have seen convenience in his call for his religion. In fact, Islam is the religion of convenience and not that of hardship. And God orders us to follow Muhammad’s teachings in worship and in our relationship with Muslims and non-Muslims.

Many Muslims in the Arab and Islamic countries have attacked the embassies and the diplomatic missions in order to indict the insult of the Diaspora Copts who have showed their hostility to Islam through their despicable film. In fact, they have pretended to embody the Prophet Muhammad’s life, peace be upon him. These brutal acts have conveyed a bad image about Islam because they have portrayed Islam as a religion of terrorism and violence. However, in reality Islam is the religion of tolerance, forgiveness and charity.
