Opposition fighters on Wednesday (September 5th) announced plans to reform and stem the proliferation of militias, AFP reported.
"After a long period, we must restructure the army because we fear the proliferation of militias in Syria and want to preserve the country's future," said General Mustafa al-Sheikh, head of the military council for the Free Syrian Army (FSA).
Following talks due to end in around 10 days, the FSA would go by the name of the Syrian National Army, al-Sheikh told AFP.
Among those areas that needed restructuring was the control of funds that reach opposition fighters, in order to "prevent the creation of militias because that is very dangerous," said al-Sheikh.

I pray to God Almighty to lead the Syrian people and their wise leadership to victory over the tyrant oppressors, the murderers of al-Khatib and his likes. I support it provided that it does not become a tool to limit the revolution and her sources.
