The first independent satellite television station in Fallujah to document tragedies caused by terrorism and to combat extremism was launched Saturday (August 18th) ideology, station officials said.

Station manager Abd Salam al-Halbusi told Al-Shorfa that the new station, "Fallujah", will target Fallujah residents and call for peace, love, fraternity and non-violence.

The station will focus on building, reconstruction, development and openness, and highlight the generosity, kindness and compassion of Fallujah residents, he said.

It will address public issues and citizens' concerns through daily programmes prepared by a team of local journalists, al-Halbusi said.
