Bahrain is slated to implement new transportation projects worth about $90 billion, Bahrain's Al-Wasat reported Friday (August 17th).
According to the Minister of Transportation and acting CEO of Bahrain's Economic Development Board, Kamal bin Ahmed, the new projects include the expansion of Bahrain International Airport and the construction of a railway as part of a plan to link Gulf nations by rail.
The minister also said the Gulf kingdom attracted $300 million in new investments in 2011, primarily in the banking and manufacturing sectors.
