Yemen's Interior Ministry on Thursday (August 16th) issued a directive that bans the open carrying of weapons in Sanaa's streets, state media reported.
According to the official news agency Saba, officials instructed Sanaa's security department to arrest anyone walking with weapons in the open.
The measure, which seeks to preserve security and stability in the capital, includes military personnel who are not on an official mission, the news agency said.
