Syria's former Prime Minister Riad Hijab, who defected to Jordan nearly two weeks ago, is now in Qatar, AFP reported Friday (August 17th).

"Mr. Hijab went to Qatar on Thursday for a three-day visit during which he will address the media to spell out his plans and his programme," Mohammed Otri, a spokesperson for Hijab, told AFP.

He said the former premier will return to Jordan at the end of his Qatar visit.

Hijab defected on August 5th after just two months in the position. He was replaced by former health minister Wael al-Halqi.

He had previously served as agriculture minister until being appointed to the premiership on June 6th.

He may have sold himself like the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saddam. After the fall of the tyrant, we discovered that Sabri El Heddeithi used to work with FBI! It is not strange that Hessein Kamel might be acting to be from the opposition in order to make them join him, and then he delivers them to his boss, which I don't believe.

Bashar El-Asaad exploited the love of his people in looting his wealth and the resources of the country. He did not fear God’s punishment. This situation continued for some time and he robbed in secret. In general, he is the best prince on land. When the secret prevailed, the Syrian revolutionists could not drop especially after the free Egyptian revolution in Egypt and Libya.

The Arab Governments and the Gulf States are supposed to stand united against the Syrian regime. They must develop a systematic plan to deal with this problem. In this respect, the Arab Governments must seek an agreement and reach common decisions. These Governments must also support the opposition and any peaceful demonstrations in order to save the blood of the Syrian people, stop the fighting and allow the departure of Bashar and his corrupt regime. On the other hand, the UN Security Council must commit the Syrian regime to stopping the killings and to implement the initiative of the envoy of the United Nations and the League of Arab States, Kofi Annan which included the following: The development of a broad political solutions which include the aspirations and concerns of the Syrian people, the commitment of all the conflicting parties to stop the armed acts of violence and killings against civilians, the permission of the humanitarian aids to reach all parties and places, and the commitment to the truce for at least two hours a day

If what is happening in Syria continues, the Syrians will suffer from many problems that can affect their coming future. Syria now suffers from much damage that affected it as a result of the shelling carried out by the men of the Syrian regime along with hundreds of dead and wounded people who are killed continuously as a result of the criminal acts carried out by the gang of the Syrian regime. It shed so much blood, ruined a lot of sectors, besieged the people, and annihilated them in every possible way.
