The Iraqi Finance Ministry said Tuesday (August 7th) it started compensating citizens affected by terrorist operations that hit the country in the past three months.
"The ministry finished auditing the files of citizens who endured human and material losses because of terrorist crimes," Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi told Al-Shorfa.
"At the beginning of next week, banks will compensate the families of all those who fell victims of terrorism," he said.
People whose homes, shops or cars were destroyed will also be compensated.
"Compensation will be determined based on the extent of property damages, while the families of victims will be given no less than 10 million Iraqi dinars ($8,600)," al-Issawi said.
