The International Islamic Charitable Organisation (IICO) sent two truckloads of food, medical and financial aid to help alleviate Yemen's children malnutrition problem, Kuwait's Al-Qabas reported on Tuesday (July 31st).

Dr. Othman Youssef al-Hajji, advisor to the Head of the IICO's information technology and relief team leader, said that reports show there are one million Yemeni children facing life-threatening levels of malnutrition due to famine, particularly in northern and central Yemen.

"Based on its humanitarian and Sharia-prescribed mandate, the IICO has not spared any effort to help our brothers in Yemen," al-Hajji said.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s gift to Yemen, an important grant in the donors at the international London conference, in the amount of one billion dollars, has been allocated for Yemen for development projects through the Saudi Fund for Development. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has also provided support in recent times for both the petroleum sector and the electricity sector. It is expected and predicted that it will sign a contract for two major agreements for two projects. One of them lies in the electricity sector, and the other project lies in the field of health services, in amount of one hundred and five million U.S. dollars. Regardless of the concerns that Yemen may fall into civil wars, that has been avoided. They have managed to avoid that risk, thanks to the presence of many factors, including internal ones, and external factors that have contributed to setting the effective path conditions on the scene.
