The Saudi Ministry of Education will appoint women to leadership posts in administrative and financial affairs departments, Saudi Arabia's Okaz daily reported Monday (July 16th).
New amendments adopted in the Kingdom grant Saudi women the right to assume posts in the ministry that were previously restricted to men. New positions will also be created within the ministry commensurate with the new changes.
The new amendments include the standardisation of technical, scientific and administrative measures for males and females in the ministry, where previously males were given priority in school admission and appointments.
