A Katyusha rocket attack on Friday (July 13th) killed three civilians and wounded four others west of the city of Kirkuk, Iraqi police said.
Kirkuk police spokesperson Col. Salam al-Jaf told Al-Shorfa "a Katyusha fell on a house in the neighbourhood of Kazzaz in the sub-district of Multaqa, west of Kirkuk".
The dead, including a child, are all members of the same family.
The missile had been targeting an army base located near the neighbourhood, al-Jaf said.
He said that police launched a large-scale campaign in search of those involved after the wounded were pulled from the rubble.
