Kuwait's Interior Ministry imposed new measures to secure the country's land and water borders, Kuwait's Al-Rai reported Tuesday (July 3rd).
Officials began implementing an electric security system on its borders, installing a fiber optic system and an invisible system underground to detect targets as far as 40 kilometres to the south of the border and 70 kilometres to the north.
The surveillance project will include deploying marine patrols along territorial waters and intends to curb smuggling and illegal immigration.
