The Jordanian finance minister said Sunday (July 1st) that Kuwait will soon pay its contribution to the Gulf fund supporting development projects in the kingdom, Jordan's official Petra News Agency reported.

Suleiman al-Hafez said that the Kuwaiti government will pay the $1.25 billion it pledged Jordan during last year's Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) summit within two months time.

Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar will also extend to Jordan $1.25 billion each to support development schemes in Jordan.

Kuwait's contribution will finance capital projects included in the 2012 state budget, the minister said.
