Iraq's military factories have resumed domestic repair operations for weapons and equipment, the Defence Ministry said Wednesday (June 20th).

According to an official statement, the ministry re-built a number of old factories, where hundreds of light and medium weapons, military trucks and various electronic devices were repaired.

By refurbishing military hardware locally, the government can save huge amounts of money that had been previously spent overseas, the statement said.
