Two Iraqis were killed and 13 others wounded Wednesday (June 20th) when a car bomb exploded in Kirkuk, police said.

Police spokesperson Col. Salam al-Jaf told Al-Shorfa the attack targeted a convoy carrying the head of Kirkuk's criminal court, Judge Aziz Abdullah, who was wounded along with six of his escorts.

A number of government and civilian vehicles, as well as nearby shops, were burnt in the attack, he said.

Security forces imposed a curfew in the area and arrested three suspects a few hours later, he added.
