At least 32 Iraqi civilians were killed and dozens of others wounded Saturday (June 16th) when two car bombs exploded in Baghdad, AFP reported.
In the first attack, a suicide bomber drove a car bomb into a gathering at the main intersection in Shuala, Baghdad, as people were returning home after their annual commemoration of Imam al-Khadhim's death, Col. Abdullah Ali of Baghdad police told Al-Shorfa.
Security forces sealed off all roads to the scene of the attack and imposed strict security measures, he said. The second attack occurred at the Aden intersection near Kadhimiya.
