An Iraqi soldier was killed and three others, including an officer, were wounded in an attack in west Iraq's Anbar province, the Iraqi police said Saturday (June 2nd).

A locally-made landmine targeting an Iraqi army convoy protecting an international highway in Qaim went off, killing one soldier, wounding three others and setting a military vehicle on fire, Anbar police spokesperson Col. Rahim Zaban told Al-Shorfa.

Security forces have opened an investigation into the attack, he said.
