The Omani Health Ministry in co-operation with country's national gas company began a program Tuesday (May 22nd) to increase awareness about the dangers of drugs among young people, the Oman Daily reported.
Buses will be purchased to warn about the dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances, according to the newspaper. These buses will broadcast audio and written content and travel across the sultanate.
Dr. Mohammed bin Saif al-Hosni, undersecretary to the health ministry, told the newspaper the National Committee for Drugs Affairs and Psychotropic Substances is striving to reach the largest possible number of citizens and residents throughout the country.
He said the project will support this trend by using modern technology to ensure the clarity of the intended message.
