The Saudi Labour Ministry announced a new long-term plan to increase the number of women who want to work in the public sector, Saudi Arabia's Al-Iqtisadiya reported Thursday (May 10th).
Dr. Fahd al-Takhifi, assistant undersecretary to the Labour Ministry, told Al-Iqtisadiya the plan is based on making a list of jobs in the industrial, service and administrative sectors in all cities across the kingdom and identifying the ones that suit women.
There are jobs in the kingdom that must be assigned to women rather than remain monopolised by men, he said.
