The Saudi Ministry of Labour will meet with officials from leading local companies and factories over the next couple of weeks to discuss creating suitable jobs for Saudi women, Saudi Arabia's Sabq reported Monday (April 23rd).
The newspaper cited Deputy Ministry of Labour Fahd al-Tikhifi as saying that his ministry would hold a number of workshops and would meet with chambers of commerce officials in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam over the next two weeks to discuss the issue.
He said the workshops would review businesses' role in employing Saudis to curb unemployment in general, and women's unemployment in particular, and also the ministry's strategy in dealing with women's employment challenges.
