Violent confrontations erupted between pro-Syrian regime forces and elements of the Free Syrian Army Wednesday (February 29th) in the besieged Baba Amr district, a member of the Syrian Revolution General Commission told Al-Shorfa.
Hadi al-Abdallah said in a telephone conversation that "anti-regime civilian activists and the Free Syrian Army are evacuating families from areas targeted by pro-Assad forces. The main mission now is to protect families and prevent al-Assad's forces from committing further massacres."
"If there was no external intervention, a real disaster and tragedy would take place all over Homs," al-Abdallah said.
Baba Amr district and other districts in Homs have been under artillery and rocket bombardment for three weeks and hundreds have been killed.
Meanwhile, AFP reported that the opposition Syrian National Council (SNC) announced Wednesday that it was setting up a military bureau to supervise the "armed resistance" against the regime.
"The SNC has decided to set up a military bureau, acknowledging the importance of putting controls on the armed resistance in Syria and in support of the Free (Syrian) Army," the council said.

The democratic government grants its people their full freedom and tries to absorb the public anger through compensating them and offering everything that may contribute to their rest, rather than fighting and attacking, or even killing or torturing them. Otherwise, this would be an extremely brutal, criminal and dictatorial approach, but this is absolutely rejected. No human being agrees to live under oppression or at the mercy of hunger, poverty, corruption, unemployment, backwardness and disease. The Syrian government must also perform its duties and do its best to preserve the trust rather than stealing it. However, it did not protect the trust, and the whole government must be brought to justice to be held accountable. After that, we should elect a better government that will provide services to the poor simple Syrians, instead of oppressing and suppressing them.

I believe that the methods that are adopted by the Syrian president against the people of the cities whose residents took to the streets to demand their rights and revolt against him are extremely brutal, barbarian and criminal. This proves that the current president, Bashar al-Asad, follows dictatorial and suppressive methods. This dictatorial regime failed in providing its people in Syria with the necessary services. The Syrians have been victims of oppression, violence and brutality over many years. The atrocities that are being committed against the Syrian people constitute a violation of the laws and aggression against the people who demanded their rights publicly. Hence, all the concerned parties are required to take a stance against Bashar al-Asad, who is a brutal and a cruel dictator who confiscated the rights and freedoms of his people. He also sends the youth to the prisons and tortures them because they took to the streets to demand their rights, and because they demanded the departure of Bashar al-Asad, this oppressive ruler. Bashar al-Asad should have tolerated the opinions of his people rather than fighting, assaulting and torturing them just for demanding their rights. Certainly, the Syrian citizens must have strong causes that made them demand their rights in this radical way.

All the Western politicians and leaders, the Russians and some Arab affiliates are warning against the armament of the opposition in order not to deteriorate things further. In fact, the situation could not be worse. We are already witnessing great numbers of refugees, dead people, detainees, missing persons and cruel acts that are difficult to describe. We are witnessing real destruction while they warn against the deterioration of things into a civil war. In fact, the civil war is being waged by one armed party. The latter is suppressing rebels through tyranny and bandits. They are warning against the armament of rebels. I would call on the rebels to do whatever they want. We would be happy with any help. Those who want to abuse you should not get any opportunity. You are eligible to decide everything.

The members of the National Council must look out! They should arm the so called the Supreme Military Council, etc. Otherwise, you will indirectly and unconsciously arm the regime. In fact, it is a desperate attempt to break through the Free Army, led by the hero Al-Assaad. We hope the Council will recognize intrusion of the regime, either by Sheikh or someone else. The only recognized leader is Major General Al-Assaad. He is the only reference of the Free Syrian Army ... We hope that Lieutenant Naimi will not to fall into the trap of Sheikh disclose and information about the Syrian Free Army… Neither to the Sheikh nor to anyone else...

The Free Army, Syrians and whoever can bear arms and defend himself and his honor must be armed given these bastards from the snipers and traitor army are unprecedented in history. In fact, it has never been remembered that the army has coldly murdered its innocent people namely children, women and the elderly. I wonder why all this black hatred against this unarmed people. I also wonder why this suspicious silence from all the governments in the world. If rulers have not reacted, why don’t Arab Muslim people move? If caricatures have urged all Muslim people to move, why don’t they react for the murder of these Muslims and destroy mosques and burn the Quran?

The great Syrian people have not only been victim of the criminal, assassin and barbaric Assad regime which has pulled Syria back to Hulagu era and the burning of Baghdad by the Mongols but they have been also victims of a failed opposition. The latter has indirectly conspired with this regime to murder these poor people. 100 years ago Burhan Ghalyoun and the National Council said that they will arm the Free Army. Yet, we have only heard fake promises since Syrians have been left for slaughtering and murder with knives and swords. Syrian women are also left for rape while the opposition is wandering like Sinbad the Sailor in international hotels from Istanbul to Paris to Washington, to Tunis and to Cairo without making any benefit or protection to the people who are being murdered massively.

The demonstrations and the voices of protests have been calling for reform and real change in a peaceful manner for a considerable period. However, the brutal gangs of the regime have never treated people as citizens who are eligible to enjoy their rights. In fact, the president treated them as “hired workers” and even slaves on the farm that he had inherited from his father, who was a criminal founder... He has considered them enemies and treated them harshly and brutally, and in a repressive, retaliatory way that others would not dare to do with their enemies. And, despite all the cruelty and tyranny pursued by the regime against the free and honest citizens of this nation, the demands of the young revolutionaries at first were rather limited to some real reforms, the liberation of the citizens from slavery, and treating people as humans, in a civilized and peaceful way.

Since the early days of the Syrian Revolution, the regime of Bashar has started to promote the claim of conspiracy and foreign interference in Syrian affairs. He resorted to such claims after the start of demonstrations for change and the Arab Spring in all parts of Syria to demand real reforms and to provide a minimum of freedom, dignity and humanity, social justice, the rights of citizenship and equality in a country plagued by tyranny. Indeed, all aspects of corruption have marred the regime. The country was ruled by a brutal sectarian gang which drove the nation into a sectarianism that was not normal for the Syrian people in the past.

This morning, Douma witnessed a qualitative operation by the Free Army. The latter tricked the official army and the security forces to the Jura neighborhood and managed to murder the passengers in an armored car and destroy a tank of the forces that tried to raid the neighborhood. In addition, the Free Army members have attacked the Masraba barrier, leading to the death of two officers and seven soldiers. Elements of the Free Army had evacuated the Jura Street of shops and citizens and they fired live bullets, enabling the security members to have access.

The optimal solution to the crisis lies in banning Iran by means of an international decision on sectarian interference in Syrian affairs. This decision is very important for Syrians, in order to halt the sectarian criminality of these Iranian-run groups in Syria and to enable Syrians to introduce home repairs and stop the shedding of innocent people’s blood. In fact, evidence from Syria has proven that the hostile Iranian regime has been responsible for all the horrific crimes from which the unarmed Syrians have been suffering, given that some forces that belong to Iran and its allies in the region have participated in a malignant, sectarian way and brought about a serious and complex crisis in Syria. In fact, Iran considers Syria as one of its provinces, particularly the Alawite regions and the Shiite holy shrines.

We are not surprised by the reactions of the West, given that their fiery declarations about Bashar Assad and his regime never tempt us as revolutionaries. In fact, they are blessing his massacres. They have kept silent during one year of murder, rape, detention, torture and displacement. This does not matter. Our people are continuing on their way and will get their freedom and dignity, in spite of everyone who hates that. We have relied on the Almighty God, the Lord of the heavens and the earth! I wonder what you want that is greater than this helper. The presence of killers on their occasions will be recorded as black spots in the pages of the West’s history. They will be a sign for blessing and taking part with Bashar Assad in his massacres. This is the role which they have assigned to him.

The Syrian people are in dire need for urgent assistance and protection in order to get rid of the brutal regime of Bashar, who has committed massacres and crimes, destroyed homes and used all the internationally prohibited weapons against the Syrian people. Let the Syrian people continue their uprising for freedom and dignity! This is the cost of freedom. The regime will inevitably fall afterward. It has already lost its full legitimacy. It has made the situation irrevocable by committing massacres, crimes and brutal bombardment, with the help of its fiercest security forces and military. Only God can help you Syria!

All of Syria will not tolerate the people of Damascus for their weakness. We are being killed and Damascenes are boasting of the system. God will not forgive a nation which did not defend the oppressed and stand against the oppressors. Homs rose in support of Hama and Daraa while Damascus is blessed with money that came from the system. Even the cities of Alawites like Tartous and Ladhiqiyah revolted and the province of Suwayda and Druze have all gone out, but Damascenes refuse to do the same for fear of losing their trading opportunities. God would not bless someone who made money into his God. It is important to note that Homs, Dara’a, Idlib, Deir Al-Zour, Qamishli, Abu Kamal, and rural Damascus burned, and the people and children are killed. Their women were kidnapped and bombed with missiles. There are areas which contain no more than 18 million Syrian citizens repressed and oppressed, their human dignity violated on a daily basis. Also, they are demanding freedom and dignity while the rest of the helpless Syrian people, who could not break the complexity of horror and fear of the system, until now remain silent. Three percent of the Alawites have for 40 years been controlling the country and its wealth.

Even Israel did not do this to us, despite the fact that she is the deadliest. All who were killed are martyrs and they enjoy themselves in heaven. On the contrary, you served them as you have sent all the martyrs to paradise, but you will be in hell, you and your followers. I hate Hafez al-Assad and his son very much. God, please destroy them. Life no matter how long is short. It will end and Allah will judge people like you. The first thing you will be judged of is the blood of the innocent people.
