Saudi Arabia provided a multi-million dollar infrastructure grant to the Jordanian government for a road repair project along their shared border, al-Rai daily reported Wednesday (January 11th).

According to Yahya al-Kasbi, Jordan's Minister of Public Works and Housing, the $240 million project will rehabilitate al-Azraq border road by installing lights and making upgrades to meet international standards.

Al-Kasbi said he discussed other cooperative plans for the future with Saudi officials, including a package of construction projects whereby Jordanian contractors would build 5,000 housing units in Saudi Arabia.
