Iraqi police in Anbar province arrested 10 suspects and discovered two weapons caches on Thursday (January 5th) during a security operation in Fallujah.

Maj. Gen. Hadi Kassar, Anbar police chief, told Al-Shorfa the "security forces carried out the operation after obtaining intelligence about the presence of gunmen south of the city."

"The operation led to the arrest of 10 gunmen found in two buildings and the discovery of two caches of weapons, explosives, shoulder-mounted rockets, IEDs and landmines," Kassar said.
