Iraqi forces arrest al-Qaeda leader near Mosul

Iraqi security forces arrested 12 suspected al-Qaeda members in Ninawa and Baghdad provinces on Tuesday (January 3rd).

Police arrested a suspected al-Qaeda leader and three of his aides in a security operation in the Badush district, west of Mosul, according to deputy Mosul police chief Brig. Gen. Khalid Abdul Sattar.

Abdul Sattar told Al-Shorfa that the suspects were "wanted in connection with major terrorism-related charges that claimed the lives of scores of innocent people".

Meanwhile, Iraqi army and Ministry of Interior special forces arrested eight suspected al-Qaeda members in areas south of Baghdad during a raid Tuesday morning, Ministry of Defence spokesman Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Askari told Al-Shorfa.

    I hope every day that news like this, which makes God for these terrorists, killing with their hands every day. And may God aid Iraqi police, if we ask every Iraqi for his wish we’ll find that his wish is the same as what I have now. All Iraqis has no other wishes now, only to live securely without terrorism or terrorists.
