Iraqi security forces in Diyala province arrested 30 suspected al-Qaeda members, security forces announced Tuesday (December 6th).

"The police carried out a raid and search operation Tuesday morning in north and west Baquba based on intelligence and arrested 30 terrorists belonging to al-Qaeda," Diyala police spokesperson Lt. Col. Ghaleb al-Karkhi said in a press conference

"The terrorists are from two al-Qaeda-affiliated cells. They are among the most dangerous terrorist networks," he said.

Security forces also found weapons caches that included equipment and explosives.
