The Arab League extended full recognition to the rebel-led Libyan National Transitional Council (NTC) on Thursday (August 25th).
The League unanimously agreed to recognize the council and "agreed that it is time for Libya to take back its legitimate seat and place in the Arab League", Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi told a press conference in Cairo on Thursday.
NTC representative Abdulmoneim al-Houni said Libya would resume membership effective Saturday.

The Arab League recognizes the Libyan Transitional Council. The Arab League itself is unsuccessful, and someone needs to recognize that.
