The Special Tribunal for Lebanon said Tuesday (August 9th) that the four Lebanese suspects indicted in the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri have not yet been arrested.
The UN tribunal said it received a report from Lebanon’s Attorney General detailing that "none of the four people who are accused have been detained."
In June, the tribunal sought warrants for four men including Hussein Onaissi, Assad Sabra, Salim Ayyash and Mustafa Badreddine who are charged with "committing a terrorist act by means of an explosive device."
The tribunal released the names and photos of the wanted men to hasten their arrest. All of the accused are listed as members of Hizbullah. Badreddine was identified as a senior Hizbullah official.
