A new study released Tuesday (July 12th) shows that Jordan's membership in the GCC will bolster its economy as well as member states of the Gulf council, The Jordan Times reported.
The kingdom's accession to the GCC will mean stronger trade and tourism for all parties, according to a study by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, adding that Jordanian workers will also be able to work in GCC countries without any obstacles.
"Jordan has the most efficient and low-cost work force in the region," the study concluded, adding that an estimated 600,000 Jordanians already work in the Gulf region.
The combination of Gulf resources (financial and otherwise) and Jordanian labour will "create a strong economic force," said Nael Kabariti, head of the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce.
