A new agreement between the Omani government and training centres in Muscat means more than 800 Omanis will be trained for employment in the private sector, Khaleej Times reported Friday (June 3rd).
The training will last between six months and one year for professions ranging from technical to administrative. That includes mechanics, truck drivers and employment in the hospitality industry.
The training agreement is part of the government's pledge to create more jobs for Omani nationals, said Abdulkareem al-Magheeri, a senior official in the Ministry of Manpower.
