The Misdemeanor Court in Qasr al-Nil issued 13 rulings against the Egyptian Interior Ministry on Tuesday (April 5th).

The cases involved brutality and assaults against "tens of detainees" who were in custody during demonstrations that began in January, Al Masry Al Youm reported.

The court ordered the ministry to pay damages to the victims.

Judge Sherif Ismail remarked in the court session that medical reports provided overwhelming evidence against the ministry.
