Jordan's main opposition party, the Islamic Action Front, called for dissolution of parliament on Tuesday (March 8th), wire services reported.

The head of the party, Hamza Mansour, sent a letter to the president of the Senate, Taher Masri, stating that without the dissolution of parliament and early elections, the talk about reforms will be useless. Masri did not comment on the letter.

Minister of Justice Hussein Majali called on citizens to remain patient as the government investigates attacks on peaceful protesters in Amman last month. Four people were injured during clashes between pro-government groups and reformers.
