Gulf markets decline amidst protests

Dubai's Financial Market closed down 3.8% on Monday (February 28th), a seven-year low, The National reported. Protests in Oman fueled market uncertainty, the paper reported.

On Sunday in Saudi Arabia, the Arab world's largest stock market fell to an eight-month low, and dropped .2% Monday.

Egypt's stock exchange will open Tuesday for the first time in a month. Authorities in Egypt implemented measures to shut down trade if the main index fluctuates more than 10%.
