Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser al-Mohammed al-Sabah arrived in Baghdad Wednesday (January 12th) for the first official visit by a Kuwaiti head of state since Iraq invaded in 1990, wire services reported.

The prime minister will hold talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, and expected to focus on demarcation of borders and reparations owed to Kuwait by Iraq for the invasion.

Also likely to be discussed is the clash between Iraqi fishermen and the Kuwaiti Coast Guard on Monday which left one Coast Guard officer dead. Kuwait's Interior Ministry said Tuesday that an Iraqi boat entered Kuwait's territorial waters and refused Coast Guard orders to stop.
