Saudi Arabia's Interior Minister Prince Nayef said that security forces have foiled nearly 230 planned terror operations in recent years, wire services reported Monday (September 27th).

Only 10 attacks were carried out, the prince said at the opening of the Saudi Moderate Approach conference in Jeddah.

"Saudi Arabia is tackling terrorism with all its might and authorities have so far been successful in foiling almost 230 terrorist attempts," he added.

"Terrorism has harmed our country and because of it we lost many of our sons," Prince Nayef said, stressing that Saudi Arabia has used a moderate approach to combat home grown terrorism.
