Delays in aid forced thousands of Yemenis to beg for food in northern Amran Province, the UN's IRIN news agency reported Tuesday (August 17th).
Residents of a temporary camp in the governorate say they do not have food to break their fasts.
The displaced residents fled the violence between security forces and the Houthi rebels in September 2009 in the Harf Sufyan district. The nearly 50,000 displaced people in the area are entirely dependent on food aid to survive, said camp supervisor Nabil Khamis.
A lack of safety on the roads to Amran is delaying aid, he added.
