Lebanese military prosecutor Saqr Saqr charged two suspects with belonging to al-Qaeda and plotting an attack on army forces in east Lebanon, AFP reported Thursday (June 24th).
The two men could receive the death penalty if convicted. The defendants are among 15 suspects charged with plotting attacks on the army and having links with al-Qaeda affiliate Fatah al-Islam.
