Yemeni security officials arrested a German, an Iraqi and two Yemenis in connection with a failed suicide attack on the British ambassador, Reuters reported Thursday (June 24th).
The general prosecutor for terror issues is leading the inquiry, according to a statement on the defence ministry's website.
The statement did not provide additional details about the suspects except that the German citizen is half German and half Yemeni and was residing in Yemen.
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula claimed responsibility for the April 26th suicide attack that targeted Ambassador Timothy Torlot’s convoy in Sanaa.
