The Saudi Shura Council is recommending the reduction of residence-permit fees for foreign women working as housemaids, Khaleej Times reported Wednesday (May 5th). The proposal is aimed at facilitating Saudi citizens sponsoring maids from abroad to work in their homes, said Mohammed al-Ghamdi, the secretary general of the Shura Council.
