A car bomb went off Thursday evening near a liquor store in Baghdad, BBC News reported Friday (April 30th). The bomb killed eight people and injured at least 20.

Meanwhile, the manual recount of all votes cast in Baghdad during the parliamentary elections will begin on Monday and is expected to last two weeks. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki pushed for the recount after his State of Law coalition narrowly lost to Ayad Allawi's Iraqiya alliance. International observers from the UN, European Union and Arab League will monitor the process.

Terrorism is to invade your Muslim brother and your neighbor as he sleeps between his sons. Terrorism is the bombing of a residential complex that kills 100 Muslims. Terrorism is the killing of unarmed civilians and children who are helpless, under the pretext of Jihad.
