Iran appears to be making few concessions over its nuclear programme, and Britain is the latest world power to express reservations about the Islamic Republic's intentions, Reuters reported Sunday (February 7th).
Iran's plans to unilaterally increase its uranium enrichment are "clearly a matter of serious concern," read a statement from Britain's Foreign Office. The act would be a "deliberate breach of five UN Security Council Resolutions," according to the statement. The Foreign Office's comments are consistent with similar concerns expressed over the weekend by the United States and Germany.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Iran had a "very good meeting" with the head of the IAEA to discuss a plan for Iran's uranium to be processed in Russian and France.
